It’s not too early to think about holiday gifting, and one of my favorite gifts to give and get is cozy loungewear and activewear. Athleta has long been a trusted source for easy transition pieces that can take you from workout, to work, to weekend; and I’ve rounded up a bunch of my top gift ideas for you today.

The Athleta pieces I have in my closet have lasted for years, so it’s a brand you can feel good about gifting to any of your loved ones… or treating yourself, if you’re so inclined!

Good winter running jackets usually sell out before you need them, so this is a great time to grab one, while they’re still well stocked! Athleta’s Inlet Jacket is my favorite winter walking/running/hiking jacket. It’s the one I go for on the coldest days, and I wear it a ton during fall and winter.

This jacket is shockingly lightweight and very comfy. It’s puffy and insulated on the front and back to protect from the biting winter winds, and it has stretchy side panels and sleeves for ease of movement. The removable hood can be cinched tight to protect your head and ears from wind and cold.

The side zip pockets are perfect for stowing your keys or smartphone, and it has a 2-way zipper for added mobility. Plus, thumbholes on the sleeves hold them in place and keep warmth in.

I have one of these jackets in a burgundy color that’s a few years old, and it’s still pretty much like new, despite many wearings and washings. That one is a size small, and while it still fits okay, I purchased this Cypress color in the medium for a little more room for layering underneath.

Another one of my favorite jackets for running or walking outdoors is the Flurry Force Insulated Primaloft Jacket. It’s thinner than the Inlet Jacket, but surprisingly warm and super flattering. I wear this when it’s not quite cold enough to need the Inlet Jacket.

This jacket has an insulated quilted panel on the front and stretchy ribbed fabric the rest of the way around. The high neck is nice for blocking out wind, and there’s no hood to fuss with. It also has zipper pockets for stashing cash, keys, or a tissue; and they will hold a smaller smartphone.

Underneath, I’m wearing the Ascent Seamless Turtleneck, and it’s 30% off right now during the Athleta Fall Faves Sale. This is one of my favorite base layers because it’s so thin and lightweight and fits easily under both of these jackets. The moisture-wicking fabric keeps you cool and comfortable, even when you work up a sweat.

These Salutation Stash High Rise Leggings are a versatile legging that can take you everywhere from the gym to the trail. They’re made of Athleta’s propriety buttery-soft Powervita fabric, and they have bonded side stash pockets to hold your essentials. They run true to size, or size up if in between. I went with the medium, to be on the safe side.

When you don’t need a jacket, but you want an extra layer of warmth, the Inlet Vest is perfect. I purchased mine two years ago, and it quickly became my go-to for wearing over sweatshirts and other base layers when I’m walking the dog or exercising outdoors in the fall and on milder winter days.

It’s lightweight and breathable, and it has such a flattering silhouette. Two zip pockets securely stash your essentials, and I love the stretchy panels on the sides for extra comfort and mobility.

Underneath, I’m wearing the Cozy Karma Twist Neck Sweatshirt, which totally lives up to its name. It has a super soft plush interior for extra warmth, and I appreciate the generous sleeve length with thumbholes to keep them in place as you move about. It also has easy-access stash pockets, and it’s cut a little longer in the back than the front, to cover your assets, as they like to say!

My red color is from last year, but this year’s colors are even better, in my opinion! I especially love the Iris and the Cypress.

Athleta also has lots of good accessories for the gym or outdoor exercising that make great gifts. I always wear their Microfleece Gloves when the temperatures dip. The soft microfleece fabric is warm and comfortable against my skin, and they have touch-screen enabled fingertips keep you connected. I also like to wear their Softshell Gaiter and Cozy Hour Beanie on super cold days, and all three of these cozy winter accessories are 30% off right now!

If you’re looking for a comfy travel set or a gift for the girlfriend who lives for cozy nights in, this Seasoft set is what you need. This smooth, cool-to-the-touch fabric drapes beautifully and offers lightweight warmth, and the sandwashing technique gives these pieces a comfy, lived-in look and feel. I’m wearing the Athleta Seasoft Crewneck Sweatshirt, which is part of the sale, and Seasoft Mid Rise Straight Pant — both in the Spiced Cabernet.

This top has a crew neck and relaxed fit, and it’s designed to hit right at the hip. It pairs perfectly with these mid-rise relaxed straight-leg pants with the external drawcord that can be worn tied or open.

And I love the little hidden pocket, if you want a secure place for your I.D. or car key. These pants also come in tall or petite sizes, if you need those options. I’m wearing the regular size small.
