Fall Fashion Try-On Haul: Tops & Jackets, Corduroys & Colored Denim, Shoes & Handbags

Greetings and happy Saturday! I’ve got a new try-on haul for you today. This one is a virtual potpourri of fall fashion! I’ve got handbags, tops, sweaters, a couple of all jackets, some cords and colored denim, and even a pair of boots. In other words, a little bit of everything, so let’s dive in!

2024 Fall Fashion Try-On Haul: Tops & Jackets, Corduroys & Colored Denim, Shoes & Handbags

As usual, I will provide measurements and fabric content on each item when I can find it, and I’ll share whether I plan to keep it or not. Just remember, even when I decide not to keep something, it doesn’t mean it isn’t worth checking out. I just may not need it, or it may not work for my body type or lifestyle.

SIZING NOTES: I’m 5’5″ and I usually wear a small or medium in tops and dresses, a 29 in jeans and pants, and a size 8 shoe. Gifted items are indicated by c/o; everything else I purchased myself.

Colored Denim & Cords

FRAME Le Slim Palazzo Pocket High Waist Wide Leg Jeans in Espresso

at Nordstrom & Saks (29) // The Reset Too Good Tank (S) // Vince sweater (S) // Matisse McCarthy Mule (8.5)

1

DETAILS: Inspired by ’70s styles, these casual-chic palazzo jeans are made from dyed stretch denim with full-length wide legs and patch pockets in front.

  • 30 1/2″ inseam; 21″ leg opening; 11 1/2″ front rise
  • Zip fly with button closure
  • 92% cotton, 6% polyester, 2% elastane
  • Machine wash, dry flat

In an attempt to wear something on my bottom half other than blue jeans, I ordered these FRAME wide leg jeans in the Chocolate Brown to try. They’re okay, I do really like this shade of brown, and they’re comfortable with good stretch. But they have a suuuuper high rise, and I struggled a bit to style them.

1 1

At first, I just put them on with this ivory sweater that I had already been wearing that day, and then I threw on this black sweater to see how the brown and black combo might work. I would add a belt, and it really needs a completer piece. This is very plain.

I don’t really have any printed tops that would work with them, but I should have probably tried that green Micheal Stars ribbed mock neck. I think the style and the color would work well with these.

1

VERDICT: I need to play around with these some more. I don’t love them yet, but they might be something I can work with. I definitely could use some non-blue jean options in my closet.

AG Mari Slim Straight Leg Corduroy Pants in Rich Umber

at Nordstrom (29) // The Reset Too Good Tank (S) // Matisse McCarthy Mule (8.5)

1

DETAILS: Refresh your casual outfits with the soft texture of these slim-cut pants made from fine-wale Italian stretch corduroy.

  • 29″ inseam; 13″ leg opening; 9 3/4″ front rise
  • Zip fly with button closure
  • 98% cotton, 2% elastane
  • Machine wash, tumble dry

I almost didn’t photograph these because they’re so tight. I didn’t think I was even going to be able to fasten them, but once I did, I figured I’d at least try to get a few shots for this post. I would definitely need the size 30, if I was going to consider them, but I don’t think I like them that much. I feel like colored corduroys can read kind of frumpy in skinny and slim straight leg styles. If I end up up with a pair of cords, I’ll go with flares or a wide leg style.

1 1

Here’s how they look with a sweater and flat loafers, although I think I like the mules better, and they would actually work with this sweater, I think. The dark buttons would tie them together.

1

FRAME Marl Wool Blend Cardigan (S) // Dolce Vita Beny Loafer (8)

VERDICT: I sent these back; they’re too small, and as I said, I’d rather have a flare or wide leg style.

KUT from the Kloth Kelsey Ankle Flare Corduroy in Rosemary

at Nordstrom (6) // FRAME Marl Cardigan (M) // Dolce Vita Beny (8)

1

DETAILS: Stretchy corduroy brings all-day comfort to these high-waist pants, while the cropped, flared legs make them right on trend.

  • 27 1/2″ inseam; 18″ leg opening; 9 3/4″ front rise (size 8)
  • 98% cotton, 2% spandex
  • Machine wash, tumble dry

Okay, so here’s a pair of cords in a raw hem ankle flare, and they are also very small on me. I can usually wear a 6 in KUT from the Kloth, but not in these. Also, the rise felt really low and cut right across the fluffiest part of my middle. I do like the color, though.

VERDICT: Going back. I can do better. I think I want a pair of full length corduroy flares with a finished hem, so I’ve ordered this Gap Factory pair to try, the KUT from the Kloth Ana Flare just arrived, so I’ll try them on later today.

Tops & Sweaters

Okay, moving on to tops and sweaters! I already have a lot of fall tops and sweaters in my closet, and I don’t have any specific needs at the moment, so these are just some that have caught my eye in recent weeks, and a few were reader recommendations.

FRAME Marl Wool Blend Cardigan

at Nordstrom (M) // FRAME Le Easy Flare (29) // Veronica Beard Lada (8.5)

1

DETAILS: Chunky marled yarns keep you completely cozy in this wool-blend cardigan enriched with a kiss of fuzzy alpaca.

  • 18 1/2″ length
  • Front button closure
  • 50% wool, 25% nylon, 20% acrylic, 5% alpaca
  • Dry clean

This one was a reader recommendation, and I ordered it when it was on sale. It’s a beautiful knit, super soft and cozy, and the short button-up cardigan style is right on trend, but it’s very short. I guess I didn’t notice the 18 1/2″ length measurement because I know that I prefer my sweaters in the 20-23″ range.

I did have the wherewithal to order two sizes, fortunately, because the small is definitely too skimpy. (I was wearing the small with the brown AG Mari cords.) This is the medium here, and it’s the right size, for sure, but I’m not loving the length, and there’s something about the chunky knit in this silhouette that isn’t doing much for me.

1 1

I played around with the buttons, and I think I like it best as shown below, with the top two and bottom button undone, which happens to be how it’s shown on the model, I’m noticing! It stays together without making me feel like I’m about to bare anything, but that is only because these flares have a  12 1/2″ front rise. I would probably wear a tank under it just in case.

1

VERDICT: Maybe I should to play around with other bottoms in different colors; this light wash denim doesn’t do a whole lot for it, but I chose them for the super high rise. I don’t usually buy pants with this high of a rise, so I’m not sure I’d have enough options to wear with it, I just don’t think I love it enough to justify the investment, even at the sale price.

Free People Sandre Cable Stitch Pullover

at Nordstrom (M) // PAIGE Laurel Canyon (29) // McCarthy Mule (8.5)

1

DETAILS: This slouchy, slightly cropped sweater plays with proportion using graduating-scale cabling that flares toward the hem and dramatically drapey sleeves.

  • Hand wash, dry flat
  • 20 1/2″ length (size Medium)
  • 60% cotton, 40% acrylic

This was an #NSale sweater that I liked and couldn’t get in my size, so when I saw it restocked and on sale again during the Nordstrom Limited Time Sale last week, I grabbed the medium. It’s a fun sweater and has some really pretty details, but I think it’s too big. Maybe they didn’t have the small when I ordered this? Or maybe I thought I’d need the medium for the length, I don’t recall, but I don’t love it.

VERDICT: Going back.

Gia Cowl Neck Top in Chocolate

at Evereve (S) // MOTHER Weekender (30) // Veronica Beard Lada (8.5)

1

DETAILS: Elevate your fall wardrobe with the Gia top by EVEREVE, featuring a relaxed silhouette, cowl neckline, and soft knit fabric. Wear it half-tucked into your favorite jeans or trousers.

  • Length from Shoulder to Hem: 22 1/2″
  • 76% Polyester, 19% Lyocell, 5% Spandex Knit
  • Machine Wash, Wash Cold, Dry Flat

Alrighty, now we’re talking. Evereve comes through for me again! I tried on this top on in-store a few weeks ago, and I left it there because I was buying a lot of tops, and I thought it was black. Now I’m realizing it must have been this chocolate brown because there is no black on the site, and this brown is so dark, it almost looks black.

ANYWAY. Now that I know it’s brown, I’m more interested in keeping it because I don’t have any brown tops in my fall wardrobe yet, and it is so soft and comfortable and flattering on. (Of course, I realize that people will probably assume it is black, as I did, but I will try to style it in a way to bring out the brown.)

1 1

As an aside, I love that dark green, and I’m tempted to grab the small while it’s still in stock.

Because it is a rather plain top, and I’m not going to be wearing short sleeves for long, I went to my closet to look for some layering options. Here’s how it looks with a tan cardigan. I like the color combination, I think, although I might prefer a lighter wash denim, something that bridges the gap in contrast between the light sweater and dark top.

1 1

It also works with that brown aviator bomber, and I like it worn alone with light wash jeans and cognac accessories.

1 1

Left Outfit // Right Outfit

I also tried it with those LOFT Sutton Flares that I was struggling with a few weeks ago, and I definitely prefer it to the ribbed mock neck top or the satin cowl shell. (I would definitely wear this with my brown belt.)

1 1

LOFT Sutton Flares in Black/Brown Multi (8) // Matisse McCarthy Mule (8.5)

VERDICT: I’m definitely keeping this top. It’s versatile and flattering and very comfortable, and I can see myself reaching for it a lot. In fact, I’ve already worn it once.

Vince Classic Crewneck Cashmere Sweater

at Nordstrom & Vince (M) // PAIGE Laurel Canyon (29) // Veronica Beard Lisa (8.5)

1

DETAILS: Ultrasoft cashmere yarns give luxurious softness to this classic sweater with ribbed trim.

  • 22″ length (size Medium)
  • 100% cashmere
  • Dry clean or hand wash, dry flat

This is just a classic crewneck cashmere sweater in a modern 22″ length. I always have a few of these in classic neutral colors to wear under jackets with jeans and pants for fall and winter, and most of mine are the longer 24-25″ lengths that were popular for so many years.

When I spotted this one from Vince, my favorite cashmere sweater brand, and it was part of the Nordstrom Limited Time Sale, I snapped it right up. I’m kind of wishing I’d grabbed the camel, as well. It really is the perfect fit, very basic, but great for layering purposes. I ordered a small and a medium, because lately I seem to be in between sizes, and I prefer the fit of the medium. I didn’t want it to be too body-con.

1 1

Here’s how it looks layered under my olive green RAILS wool blend crop jacket, as an example of how I’ll wear it. I think I prefer the front tucked version, and I’ll add a belt. I would also probably wear black boots with this.

1 1

VERDICT: Keeping, for sure. If these go on sale again this fall/winter, I’ll probably grab another color.

Vince Wool Blend Turtleneck in Sea Onyx

at Nordstrom and Vince (M) // PAIGE Laurel Canyon (29) // Matisse McCarthy Mule (8.5)

1

DETAILS: Fine-gauge knit from a luxe blend featuring wool and cashmere, this timeless turtleneck is fully fashioned with raglan sleeves for a slightly more casual appeal.

  • 54% wool, 35% cashmere, 11% polyester
  • Dry clean or hand wash, dry flat
  • Hem sits at the hip

This was another Nordstrom Limited Time Sale purchase. I was drawn to this gorgeous shade of green, and I love the tall mock neck. Plus, it has raglan sleeves! I like the relaxed fit and the easy hip length. (I didn’t measure it, and I can’t find the measurements online anywhere, but I would say it’s 22″ long in the medium.)

Below, I’m showing you the comparison between the medium (on the left) and the small (on the right).

1 1

size M // size S

VERDICT: I’m keeping the medium.

Vince Cowl Neck Silk Blouse in JUNIPER

at Nordstrom & Bloomies (S) // MOTHER Weekender (30) // Schutz sandals (8)

1

DETAILS: Timelessly chic, this silk popover blouse brings easy elegance to your look with a flattering draped cowl neck and dolman sleeves.

  • 23″ length (size Medium)
  • 100% silk
  • Dry clean or hand wash, line dry

Yes, more Vince, and more green! And if you guessed that this was another Nordstrom Limited Time Sale purchase, you would be right. This blouse is stunning, it has such a flattering fit, and I love the color. Plus, it’s silk and not satin, which is really hard to find these days.

It’s a total splurge, even on sale, and because I don’t live a super dressy life, I’m not sure I’ll get a good cost per wear out of it, but I’m so tempted to keep it because it’s just gorgeous. (I obviously need to steam that big crease out of it.)

1 1

It has a really nice shape and length to leave untucked, but here’s how it would look with a front tuck. (I should have added my brown alligator-embossed belt.)

1

Of course, as it gets colder, I’ll need a jacket to wear on top, so I tried it with the brown Evereve Aviator Bomber, for a look I might wear out to dinner this fall. (My croc-embossed slides are a similar shade of brown.)

1 1

That jacket feels a little too casual for the silk blouse, so I also tried it with my black AllSaints leather bomber and black slingback pumps. I like this look a lot. (I would add a black skinny belt with silver hardware, like this or this.)

1 1

VERDICT: I’m still debating, not because I don’t love it, but because of the price and the potentially high cost per wear. It’s also just a tad in the size small, but I don’t think I’d like the fit of the medium.

I’ll tell you what, being in-between sizes is a real drag. I was a solid small in Vince tops (most tops, for that matter) for most of my adult life, and I took for granted how much easier it is to shop when you are a dependable size.

RAILS Lilly Cowl Neck Satin Top in Dark Moss

at Nordstrom (S) // PAIGE Laurel Canyon (29) // Matisse McCarthy Mule (8.5)

1

DETAILS: Opt for classic sophistication in this fluid satin top made with an asymmetric draping cowl neckline.

  • 22″ length (size Medium)
  • 100% rayon
  • Hand wash, dry flat

In case you haven’t heard, cowl neck tops are trending, and this is a similar style by Rails, but it’s rayon rather than silk, and I didn’t feel it was flattering as the Vince blouse. It’s also a smidge too small for me. Bah humbug.

1 1

VERDICT: Going back.

Treasure & Bond Short Sleeve Crewneck in Brown Bear

at Nordstrom (S) // FRAME Le Slim Palazzo (29) // Matisse McCarthy Mule (8.5)

1

DETAILS: Feel the polish of this versatile crewneck sweater that’s updated with abbreviated sleeves for day-to-night appeal.

  • 40% viscose, 30% nylon, 25% polyester, 5% wool
  • Hand wash, dry flat

Speaking of being in-between sizes… Goodness! I thought this sweater would be a nice basic layering piece, and it is, but I definitely need the medium.

1 1

VERDICT: Going back; I may order this color in the medium, although it’s not that flattering on me. I think it’s a warm tone, and I prefer cooler tones.

Treasure & Bond Short Sleeve Crewneck Sweater

at Nordstrom (M) // Frank & Eileen Derry Jeans c/o (30) // Paul Green Hadley Sneakers (8)

1 1

DETAILS: Feel the polish of this versatile crewneck sweater that’s updated with abbreviated sleeves for day-to-night appeal.

  • 40% viscose, 30% nylon, 25% polyester, 5% wool
  • Hand wash, dry flat

This is the same sweater in the medium, and it fits better than the small for sure, but it still highlights the lumps and bumps.

VERDICT: Deciding. I ordered a large, just to see if I like it, but I think it will be too big in the shoulders. And since I’ll usually wear this as a base layer, maybe this fit is okay.

Fall Jackets

We’ve already established that having a variety of jackets is key to making fun and interesting outfits, and KUT from the Kloth has so many good options this fall! I already have the red Julia Coated Jacket and the green Amanda Boxy Twill Jacket, but I don’t have any brown options, so I ordered these two…

KUT from the Kloth Hendrix Button-Up Jacket in Brown

at Nordstrom (S) // FRAME Le Easy Flare (29) // Veronica Beard boots (8.5)

1

DETAILS: Oversized pockets at the chest lend on-trend workwear-inspired style to this cotton-rich jacket cut in a cool boxy silhouette.

  • 21″ length
  • Front button closure
  • 49% cotton, 48% lyocell, 3% spandex
  • Hand wash, line dry

This is a nice medium shade of nut-brown that I think could be quite versatile. I love the straight hem and the little patch pocket on the sleeve, and it’s a really nice length.

1 1

Here’s how it looks styled with a single cuff on each sleeve. I like it over this ivory sweater with light wash jeans for a simple outfit, but I could also try it over the green Michael Stars top, and it would work over black too.

1

VERDICT: I will probably keep this, but I don’t know if I want two brown jackets, and I also really like the corduroy one below.

KUT from the Kloth Zinnia Corduroy Jacket in Brown

at Nordstrom and Zappos (S) // FRAME Le Easy Flare (29) // Veronica Beard boots (8.5)

1

DETAILS: Cotton corduroy lends groovy texture to this button-up jacket equipped with twin patch pockets on the front.

  • 21″ length
  • Button cuffs
  • 100% cotton
  • Hand wash, line dry

This jacket is 100% cotton, so there isn’t a whole lot of stretch, and it’s a very thin fabric, almost a shirt jacket. I think I need the medium. Otherwise, I really like it. The corduroy is fun for a change, and the chocolate brown is going to look nice over shades of green, as well as neutrals like ivory and camel.

1 1

VERDICT: I think I’ll order the medium, and then play around with outfits and decide between this one and the other brown one.

Shoes & Boots

Veronica Beard Lada Chelsea Boot in Espresso

at Nordstrom (8.5)

1

DETAILS: This tall Chelsea bootie is a sophisticated go-to with elastic side goring and an asymmetric block heel.

  • 2″ heel (size 8.5)
  • 7″ shaft
  • Leather upper and lining/synthetic sole

I’ve been wearing these with a lot of outfits in this post, so I thought I’d give you a full review, although I’ve probably featured them before. These were an #NSale purchase, and they’re back on sale. They have a really nice, sleek silhouette, and they’re extremely comfortable.

In fact, I’m going on another trip this week, and I’ve been planning my outfits, and I think I might wear these traveling. I love this deep espresso leather, but the caramel suede is gorgeous too, and they also come in black leather, if that’s a color you need.

VERDICT: Keeping! I’ve been holding onto these for months, waiting to decide if I need them or not, and I’ve finally decided they’re going to be my go-to dark brown boots for this fall/winter season.

Vince Bianca Slingback Pointed Toe Pump in Black Croc

at Nordstrom & Bloomies (8.5)

1

DETAILS: Side cutouts create modern intrigue on a slingback leather pump framed by a pointy toe and low block heel.

  • 2″ sculpted heel
  • Leather upper, lining and sole

I ordered these shoes because I was feeling like I needed a pair of black pointy toe slingback kitten heel pumps in my fall/winter wardrobe. I love the Sam Edelman Bianka, so I almost went ahead and ordered those in black, but I already have them in red and leopard, and I thought it would be nice to have something a little different.

I was drawn to this croc-embossed black leather, and Vince shoes tend to do well for me, so I ordered them. They are gorgeous, but the leather is a little stiffer than what I’ve come to expect from Vince, so I’m undecided. For the price, I expected them to feel nicer.

VERDICT: I’m not sure about these. Given the price point, I might keep looking.

Fall Handbags

Finally, I ordered some handbags to try. I was initially looking for a casual black crossbody, but then I fell down the rabbit hole and ended up ordering some brown ones as well. Who wants to guess which ones I kept?

As for the black crossbody, I love my black Gucci camera bag, but it’s starting to look tired at five years old, and I’m kind of over the big logo.

1

In my heart of hearts, the bag I really want is the Celine Box Bag. I love the elegance and simplicity, and it’s stunning in person, an absolutely gorgeous leather inside and out. I lusted over it for years, but it wasn’t in my budget, and now it’s been discontinued. Womp… womp… I started looking at preowned versions, and in my search, I came across this “dupe” by Sézane.

Sézane Milo Classic Bag

at Sézane // The Reset tank (S) // PAIGE denim (29) // Dolce Vita boots (8)

1

DETAILS: Crafted by our expert artisans from the smoothest leather, our Milo Classic bag is the pièce de resistance your wardrobe has been waiting for. Perfectly versatile, its adjustable strap offers you three different lengths. We also can’t get enough of its signature clasp that adds elegance to every outfit. — Sézane

  • Smooth leather exterior; Cotton lining
  • Adjustable Leather handle (press studs on each side to extend the handle)
  • Brass clasp with light gold finish
  • Zipped pocket and patch pocket inside
  • Weight: 19 oz
  • 6.7 x 9.4 x 1.8 inches

Granted, this is a NICE dupe; it’s genuine Italian leather, and the $425 price tag is still a bit daunting, but I was curious, so I ordered it. I will say that I love the design. The clasp opens easily by pressing on it, and you can adjust the length of the strap by pressing the studs on each side. You can see two of the three length options below.

1 1

This bag has just enough space inside for my basic essentials, and I do really like the look, but the leather is very hard and almost plasticky, and it seems like it’s going to scratch easily.

Here’s how it looks styled with a deep green sweater, jeans, and croc embossed mules. It’s a great look, and it carries comfortably, but…

1 1

VERDICT: At the end of the day, I decided it wasn’t worth the almost-$500 price tag. It just doesn’t feel that nice to me, so I sent it back. I have, however, ordered the Quince version to compare. It’s a much better price, at $175, and it’s also Italian leather. I’ll report back when I get it!

Hammitt Kyle in Black/Gunmetal

at Macy’s // at Hammitt // The Reset Too Good Tank (S) // PAIGE denim (29) // Dolce Vita boots (8)

1

DETAILS: This fresh, of-the-moment bag is a must-have companion for nights on the town. Featuring a slouchy but current shape, crafted with our classic black pebbled leather, this versatile little number transitions from a wristlet to a shoulder bag in seconds flat. — Hammitt

  • Black pebbled leather; Red twill lining
  • Gunmetal hardware, functionality covered for life
  • Exterior: back zip cell pocket, vertical opening
  • Interior: vintage tag, leather credit card slot
  • Bag: 11.5″ L x 1.25″ W x 5.75″ H

I feel like the description says it all. I like this bag for the luxe, edgy vibe and the multiple carrying options; and the softness of Hammitt’s pebbled leather gives a whole new meaning to the leather-like-butter analogy. In fact, it’s almost too soft because when you put stuff inside, you can sometimes see the corner of my card case poking out of it.

The gunmetal hardware is really fun and different, and I love the O-ring strap connectors and the red trim on the rear exterior zipper. The attention to detail on this bag is an A+, for sure.

1 1

Do you hear another “but” coming??? I wanted to love this bag, but… It is teeny. When I put my most basic stuff inside (including my iPhone Pro Plus with the Loopy case) it ruins the slouchy shape. Plus, I just think it looks too small on my body. I find smaller handbags sometimes look out of proportion with my features, and I would say that’s true of this one.

1 1

VERDICT: This is a great bag, but ultimately I decided to return it.

Hammitt Bryant in Black-Gunmetal

at Hammitt // at Dillard’s // The Reset tank (S) // PAIGE denim (29) // Dolce Vita boots (8)

1

DETAILS: Meet our revamped Bryant Med, a space-efficient style with plenty of room and added accessibility.

  • Black pebbled leather; Red twill lining
  • Gunmetal hardware, functionality guaranteed for life
  • Exterior: Back phone drop pocket Interior: credit card slot, zip pocket
  • Removable, adjustable shoulder + crossbody straps
  • Bag: 9″ L x 5″ W x 9.25″ H

1

This bag is a bigger version of the Kyle, and while it looks more in proportion with my body, I didn’t love how slouchy it is and the way it hangs on me when worn crossbody. It’s like the top is pointy, and then the flat bottom sticks out funny.

1 1

I also found the zipper to be a little frustrating, mainly because of how soft and slouchy the leather is. And even though it looks bigger than the Kyle, it still doesn’t hold a lot, and my heavy phone kind of weighs it down and makes it lose its shape.

1 1

VERDICT: I just don’t love this bag enough to justify the price, so it went back too. I know I’m being extra picky, but I’m hoping to find a bag I love as much as that Gucci camera bag, and one that seems to go with everything like it does.

Little Liffner Pillow Hobo Bag in Black

20% off at Luisaviaroma // The Reset tank (S) // PAIGE denim (29) // Dolce Vita boots (8)

1

DETAILS: Little Liffner’s Pillow hobo bag is crafted of leather in Italy.

  • Leather; Canvas lining
  • Made in Italy
  • About 17.3″W x 14.6″H x 3.9″D
  • Strap drop: about 10.2″

I purchased this bag at Shopbop, but it has sold out, and I can only find it at Luisaviaroma (although it’s 20% off, so that’s a bonus. It seems to have been replaced with this one.)

Anyway, this bag is bigger and slouchier than the ones above, but unfortunately, it is TOO big and slouchy for what I want. I’m also afraid I’ll impale myself on that funky gold hardware piece on the strap.

1 1

VERDICT: This one went back, as well, and I still have not found a black crossbody for fall. But…

HOBO Small Render Crossbody in Natural

at Nordstrom // at Zappos // The Reset tank (S) // PAIGE denim (29) // Dolce Vita boots (8)

1 1

DETAILS: Polished hardware and rich leather distinguish a spacious crossbody bag fitted with multiple straps for styling versatility.

  • 10 ½”W x 8″H x 4 ½”D
  • 9″ strap drop; 13″–23″ adjustable strap drop
  • Structured silhouette with flat base for stability
  • Leather; Cotton lining

I did find a brown one! This one comes with a crossbody strap, but I prefer the shoulder strap. It’s a little large to be worn crossbody, in my opinion, but I love how it fits over my shoulder. I’m a longtime fan of the HOBO glazed leather, and I know from experience, these bags wear very well. I also love the covered magnetic closure and how the exterior pockets are large enough to hold my gigantic iPhone Pro Plus with the Loopy Case.

Finally, this “Natural” color fills a hole in my handbag collection. It pairs perfectly with the Dolce Vita boots (above) and the Veronica Beard Lisa Booties (below). It also looks good with leopard print shoes.

VERDICT: Keeping this one! I’ve been carrying it since the day I got it.

Loeffler Randall Delphine Leather Crossbody in Espresso

at Saks // at Bloomingdale’s // The Reset tank (S) // PAIGE denim (29) // Dolce Vita boots (8)

1

DETAILS: This Delphine shoulder bag from Loeffler Randall is crafted of woven suede, offering a luxurious touch.

  • Leather strap, 18.3″ drop
  • Dimensions: 8.8″L x 5″W x 6″H
  • Push-lock closure
  • Interior slip pocket
  • Suede leather; 100% cotton lining

I ordered this bag during the Bloomies Friends & Family Sale last week, and it’s a very pretty bag, but the clasp is annoying to open and close, and it’s too small to hold my basic essentials.

1 1

VERDICT: Returned it.

Michael Kors Sonny Medium Suede Hobo Bag in Chocolate

25% off at Neimans and Macy’s; also at Bloomies // The Reset tank (S) // PAIGE denim (29) // Dolce Vita boots (8)

1

DETAILS: This chic shopper bag from MICHAEL Michael Kors is crafted in luxe, smooth leather for a refined finish.

  • 16.8″L x 6″W x 13.5″H
  • Magnetic closure
  • Interior zip pocket
  • Suede finish
  • Leather; 55% polyester, 45% linen lining

I also ordered this suede hobo during the Bloomies sale, and this one is winner winner chicken dinner! I love suede bags for fall, and I’m so happy they’re back in vogue this season. Yes, they’re a bit fussy, and I can’t carry it in the rain or snow, but I know I’ll enjoy having it this fall.

1 1

I love the rich chocolate brown color, and the gold hardware on the strap is a nice touch. It’s a great medium size, and it fits comfortably over my shoulder. Look how nicely it goes with my Veronica Beard Chelsea Boots from the #NSale.

1

Outfit Details

VERDICT: Keeping! Can’t wait to carry it.

And that, my friends, is a wrap! My goodness, that was a long one. If you stayed with me to the end, you deserve a prize.
