As I was walking the dog yesterday afternoon, I noticed the leaves on some of the trees starting to change colors, and you know what that means… Sweater weather is just around the corner! If you’re excited to update your fall wardrobe but don’t want to break the budget, Gap Factory has you covered with lots of affordable pieces that don’t compromise on style.
I’m so happy that flare jeans are having a moment this fall, and the Gap Factory High Rise Soft Vintage Flare Jeans are an essential style to have in your closet.
They have a good amount of stretch for comfort and ease of movement, and medium indigo wash has just enough fading and whiskering to give you that enviable authentic lived-in look. These jeans come in short, regular, and long sizes; and they run true to size.
I styled these jeans with three different tops. First, with a Collared Button-Front Cardigan in a classic black. (It also comes in brown and grey.) This cardigan sweater has an elegant simplicity about it, but with a collar for an extra point of interest and a nod to the season’s trends. I like how it looks buttoned up with the top and bottom buttons undone.
Because a black sweater and blue jeans is such a simple color palette, I added leopard print slingback pumps, a coordinating brown bag, and tortoiseshell sunglasses to complete the look.

Next, I paired these bootcut jeans with a Relaxed Quarter-Zip Sweater, and I added brown Western-inspired booties that coordinate with the brown in the sweater.

This sweater is right on trend for fall, with the stand collar and quarter-zip neckline, and I love the silver zipper detail with the O-ring tab.
It’s a flattering length with an easy fit, and it comes in several solid colors. I really like how this navy/brown stripe pairs with blue jeans. This sweater is also 100% cotton, which is great for those who can’t wear wool, and it runs true to size.
Another good cardigan option is this 100% cotton crewneck cardigan. I chose the brown stripe, which is really more of a black with beige stripes, and I wore it buttoned-up like a pullover.
Not only is this an easy way to wear it because you don’t have to think about an under layer, it looks more current, as well. This sweater comes in lots of solid colors, as well; and I recommend sizing up, especially if you play to wear it buttoned.
To add another element of interest, I styled this look with red slingback flats, but of course boots or even sneakers would work too.

For a non-denim look, this Corduroy Western Mini Dress makes a great update to your fall wardrobe. I’m seeing these everywhere, and this one has a really nice fit to it. I also appreciate that it’s not as short as some.
This dress is made of a soft corduroy weave, and it has contrasting buttons and snap cuffs. I would say it runs true to size, or you may want to size up if in between. The medium fits me perfectly.
I styled this dress with silver flats, which tones down the Western vibe and adds some ladylike juxtaposition to the look. I also like how they coordinate with the buttons on the dress.

Finally, I styled a washed black denim midi skirt with a stripe crewneck roll neck sweater for a dressed-up casual look you can wear to a casual dinner, shopping with friends, or even to work if it fits your dress code.
This sweater is 100% cotton, and it has a classic roll neck style with set in sleeves and a ribbed trim at the cuffs and hem. It comes in several color options, but I love this camel and black for an elegant, neutral look.
This denim midi skirt is a trending style for fall, and it also comes in olive green and two blue denim washes. There are so many ways you can wear this skirt for fall, but I kept it simple with a pullover sweater and leopard print flats.
