First up, an outfit you might consider for a 4th of July gathering next month… I mean, nothing says patriotic holiday than red, white and blue!
Mid Rise Kick Fit Jeans (29) // Relaxed Linen-Blend Scoopneck T-Shirt (S) // Icon Denim Jacket (S)
This linen blend neck t-shirt with the flattering scoop neck and classic yet relaxed fit is a summer wardrobe staple you will probably want in several colors. I love this bold Slipper Red, but the Indie Pink is also really fun, and of course you can’t go wrong with a classic navy, black or white. It also comes in olive and a coastal blue.
This tee is light and airy and breathable, and the seam detail at back is a nice finishing touch. The sleeves are a really nice length, too. This tee runs true to size, or size down if in between; I have the small, and it’s perfect.
While this tee can stand alone with the help of a few well placed accessories, it also pairs well with the Icon Denim Jacket, if you need some extra warmth. Plus, it just creates a nice layered look. This jacket also runs true to size; I have the small.
I love white denim in the summertime, and these Mid Rise Kick Fit Jeans are a great pair to add to your summer wardrobe. They’re actually a subtle shade of off-white — not quite ecru, but softer than your typical crisp white denim, which makes them super versatile. It’s more of a cool off-white than a warm shade, which works well with this red top.
They have a traditional cropped bootcut silhouette; and they come in short, regular, and long lengths. The regular length has a 25″ inseam, which is the perfect crop length on me. (I’m 5’5″, for reference.)
I would say these jeans run small, but they do stretch out some with wear. I’m in the 29, and it was a bit of a challenge to get them buttoned; so if in doubt, size up.
My next look features a high rise wide leg crop denim style in a similar shade of off-white. I really love the details on these jeans. From the utility pockets to the contrast stitching to the trouser style hems, these jeans look way more expensive than they are.
Crochet High Neck Sweater Tank (M) // High Rise Wide-Leg Utility Crop Jeans (29)
The fit is super flattering, too! It’s a wide leg style that’s cut close to the thighs, so they don’t add as much visual bulk in that area as so many wide leg styles do, but they still look modern and on trend.
Here’s a close-up view of the waist. I really like that double button closure. It gives them a nice, finished look.
Like with the pair above, these jeans run a bit small. I managed to get them fastened, and I feel like they look good in pictures, but they’re a tad snug in the waist. You may want to size up if in between.
I paired these off-white wide leg jeans with a blue and white crochet sweater tank. I love a sweater tank for a more polished look in the summer months, and this one has such pretty colors.
And yes, I actually did get a phone call while Alison was shooting these pictures. She just kept snapping away!
The blue and white tank I am wearing is starting to sell out, but you can also check out this one with the ruffle detail, or a more casual option would be this ribbed high neck tank in the Sailor Blue.
Speaking of that ribbed high neck tank, I purchased that in the black, and I paired it with black linen pants for a chic monochromatic summer look.
This tank is a really nice closet basic for layering or wearing alone with pants or shorts on warm days. it has the cutaway shoulders and higher neck, which is a trending style and tends to flatter most women.
Cropped Ribbed High Neck Tank (M) // Linen-Blend Straight Pull-On Pants (S)
As an aside, I would recommend wearing a racerback style bra with this tank; I just tried to move my straps over for these photos, and as you can see, that didn’t work out all that well.
It’s pretty fitted, so I recommend sizing up. I bought the medium, for reference.
I featured these linen blend straight pull-on pants in my last Try-On Haul, and they were a top seller over the weekend. I really like the straight ankle-length fit, and how they some elastic in the waist as well as a hook and eye closure with a zip front.
It’s just enough elastic to make them comfortable, but the waistband still lays pretty flat, which is nice. (I don’t care for the drawstring waistband on so many pants like this because it bunches up and creates extra bulk.)
These pants run true to size, or size down if in between. They also come in tan and rust, and some colors are available in tall and petite sizes, as well.
Finally, I’ve got a casual dress to share with you! It’s made of a super soft and lightweight 100% cotton slub fabric, and I love that sarong tie-knot at the waist. It’s such a cute detail and so flattering.
ForeverSoft Sarong Mini Dress (M)
This dress has short sleeves, and an above-the-knee length. It also comes in petite and tall lengths, if you need those options.
I’m wearing the medium, so I would definitely recommend sizing up if you want a little more wiggle room.
I paired this dress with white leather sneakers for a sporty look, but of course, it would be cute with sandals too. It also comes in black, a pretty pink, and a black/white stripe.
